TV SHOW EFFECTSPhil Burns, of the American Prepper Network, is a prepper
himself and is angered at the way his community is portrayed. He agrees that some people, very few, but some may have this extremist view but, most are in it for full protection of their families. Burns says “this conclusion being drawn is one we would like see avoided…not only will they not investigate becoming self-reliant themselves, but they will spread the counter-message that we are a sub-culture that should be avoided” He agrees that Neil Genzlinger, producer of the television show Doomsday Prepper was not completely wrong in his statement, because he was stating only the information that was being given to him. "Doomsday Prepper isn`t providing an accurate presentation to the mainstream reality of being a prepper," said Burns. |
